Fixed Prosthetics

Theory
  • Patient analysis and diagnosis: clinical and photographic evaluation, aesthetic and functional analysis, indications and contraindications
  • Case planning and mock-up: digital and analogue analysis, communication with the laboratory, importance of the diagnostic mock-up
  • Prosthetic preparations: crowns and bridges, anterior and posterior techniques, finish lines: shoulder, chamfer, feather edge, BOPT technique
  • Provisionals: laboratory fabrication, aesthetic and functional guide, relining, optimisation with BOPT and horizontal finish lines
  • Prosthetic material selection: metal-ceramic VS zirconia VS lithium disilicate, advantages and limitations, clinical indications
  • Final try-in: marginal fit, colour, contacts, occlusion, step-by-step protocol
  • Adhesive and conventional cementation: indications, clinical protocol for anterior and posterior teeth, error prevention
  • Follow-up management: periodic check-ups, long-term maintenance, complication prevention

  • LIVE DEMO: abutment preparation with different types of finish lines by Dr. Ceroni
  • Hands-on exercises: anterior and posterior preparations with different finish lines, provisional fabrication, relining, and finishing
